June 6th 2009 and I have just 65 days to go before the Triumph Sports Six Club's International weekend. This year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Triumph Herald and I have promised myself that my car will be there..

I have nearly gone as far as I can go at the moment.... I am waiting for the bonnet, doors, bootlid, sills and front valance to be painted, the paint shop have promised me these by the end of the month.. but then again they said that last month Cry.

July 12th.. still waiting for the paint shop and the trimmers to finish, I have been told that the bonnet, bootlid and one door will be ready for collection on the 14th and the other door by the 17th... will just have to wait and see.

Had a good day yesterday.. got the fuel tank in, the engine side valances and radiator fitted, the brakes are all now finished, the clutch pipe and slave cylinder all done, and started to repaint the big slot wheels. Only 32 days to get it finished.....

27 days to go..... Started refitting all the painted panelwork. Looking a bit more like a herald now.. bootlid and bonnet back on, the wiring loom is now finished and tested. Maybe get at least one door rebuilt this week. Things are looking up..Smile

12 days to go and she finally moved out of the workshop under her own steam....first time in 7 years..

I am now going to do a page by page count down until its ready.. it will be bit basic but should keep you informed of the progress...

This page is now finished...

The only BIG task I have left to do is getting the engine fired up. I have nearly finished the petrol tank, just a rub down and a respray. Once I get it fitted I can then get some fuel into the carbs and try to get her fired up and running. Oh.... but before that I need to finish the fuel line order in a few parts to complete the fuel connection onto the carbs.

All now ready to fire her up.. maybe next weekend, need to do the oil in the gearbox, engine and diff. Fuel in the tank and see how she turns over....

Done all the fluids, wiring loom is all tested, turned the key and..........the engine spins SmileLaughing Just need to get some fuel and get her fired up !!
